Dyad is defined as "a group of two" and "two persons involved in an ongoing relationship or interaction", according to dictionary.com. Birth is certainly an ongoing interaction! "Naturals" is a term to describe the type of parenting products sold at the store. Kiera is passionate about Eco-friendly alternatives to typical products.
Kiera trained in 2011 with Sudharma Institute (formerly Sudharma Birth Services), under Midwife Nicole Schwartz. motherbaby|naturals was born in 2013, two years after establishing her solo practice doula business. Her dream was to combine doula services and natural parenting products, such as herbal remedies, baby carriers and cloth diapers, and have them be readily available and accessible to the public..
Kiera is available to provide women with Birth and Postpartum Doula support, breastfeeding & pregnancy support and information, placenta encapsulation, baby wearing & cloth diapering information, belly casting, and offers a wide array of natural parenting products for purchase. As part of her ongoing effort to provide the best possible care to her clients, she works with other community doulas in mentoring programs and is a founding member of the local doula co-op, Doulas of the Lehigh Valley. She also participates in continuing education, is Bloodborne Pathogens Certified, and carries a PA Foodlhandlers card. Kiera is a trained Postpartum Doula, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist through International Placenta and Postpartum Association (IPPA). As of 2018, she is also a Student Bereavement Doula with Stillbirthday. Kiera, her husband Russ and their 6 young children reside in Bethlehem's Historic District.
